A Chinese research team has created BM plastic—100% bamboo-derived, zero petroleum—that rivals steel-grade strength, resists heat and acid, yet fully biodegrades in ordinary soil within 50 days. Unlike PLA or PHA, it needs no new factory equipment and uses abundant, non-food bamboo.
